Bollinger Band Breakout Trend

The "other" way to use Bollinger Bands: as a breakout system. A close outside the upper band means price has moved further than its recent volatility suggests — often the start of a trend. A long opens on a close above the upper band and is held until price closes below the middle line (or the opposite band, optional); a short on the mirror. An ATR disaster stop limits gap losses.
