MESA Adaptive MA (MAMA / FAMA)
John Ehlers' MESA Adaptive Moving Average. A Hilbert transform measures the phase of the dominant market cycle; the faster the phase changes, the faster the average adapts. MAMA is the adaptive line and FAMA ("following" MAMA) is a slower copy of it, so their crosses mark trend changes with very few false signals in trends.

How to use it
MAMA above FAMA = up trend (green fill), below = down trend (red fill). Crosses are the signals. Fast/slow limits 0.5 / 0.05 are Ehlers' published values; lower the fast limit (0.3) for fewer, later signals. Concept: J.
